Bush Bubs!
Our family nature-based playgroup is back! We are thrilled to offer this as a regular program from 2026.
What is ‘Bush Bubs’?
Bush Bubs is our relaxed, come-and-go playgroup for children aged 0–6 and their caregivers. Two hours of fresh air, free play, and good company in the Australian bush.
Each session is $25 per family or household, which means everyone's welcome. Mums, dads, grandparents, the au pair… bring the whole crew.
Like everything at Wild Wattle, Bush Bubs is child-led. Our Guides offer gentle invitations to play throughout the morning like stories, bushwalks, music, and crafts, but there's no pressure to participate. Follow your child's lead, let them wander, and see where the morning takes you.
We believe in rhythm over routine, and in giving children the freedom to make their own choices, follow their own curiosity, and yes, make their own muddy mistakes.
A few things to know: dress for mountain weather, expect muddy play, and remember our three rules — be kind, be safe, be wild. That's it!

Our sessions are relaxed and unhurried. Arrive whenever works for you and stay as long as you like. Parking is easy; just be mindful not to block anyone in. We'll have signs posted to guide you to the meeting point, which is only a minute's walk from the picnic tables.
The arrival area sits right next to the washrooms, water sink, and shelter; a handy first stop to use the bathroom, change bub, or fill up your water bottle before heading into the bush.

Bush Bubs is filled with endless opportunities for nature-based play and discovery. On any given morning you might find the kids making bug homes, bird watching, hunting for animal poo, or doing something entirely their own that nobody planned. The bush has a funny way of inspiring that.

Bring snacks… exploring is hard work! Children are welcome to eat throughout the session whenever they need to refuel. For little ones using the toilet, just head over to our toilet block with your child whenever needed. Bush wees are also always welcome. Babies can be changed wherever you and bub are most comfortable; a change table is provided in our bathroom block.

Bush Bubs runs in all weather (yes, even that kind). On rainy days we set up a tarp so the bugs stay dry, but we truly believe there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Dress yourself and your little one for the mountain climate and you'll have the best time.
